1、 The current development status of the scarf industry

The animal patterned scarves that fashionable people like to wear are no longer real fur, but have evolved into very soft materials such as silk and cashmere. Especially with its innovative styles and exquisite workmanship, scarves have gained the love of consumers and become a hot selling product in the scarf industry. According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, the operating revenue of China's silk and silk textile and precision processing industry was 30.33 billion yuan from January to June 2021. Among them, the revenue from scarf processing was 14.875 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.21%. It can be seen that scarves will become a major player in the scarf industry in the future development.
With the continuous improvement of scarf processing technology and the increasing variety, China's scarf industry is also expanding, and related enterprises are gradually increasing. According to data from Qichacha, there are currently 100000 scarf related enterprises in China. In the first 11 months of 2021, there were 3643 new companies added, a year-on-year decrease of 66.6%. From the perspective of urban distribution, Jinhua City ranks first with 49000 enterprises, far exceeding other cities. Shenzhen and Hangzhou respectively have 14000 and 4000 scarf related enterprises, ranking second and third. Among them, enterprises in Xin'an Town, Deqing, Zhejiang sell to various parts of the country and even overseas through Yiwu Small Commodity Market, Hangzhou Silk Market, and other channels. According to statistics, the current market size of scarves in China is nearly 250 billion yuan, with a huge market size.
Benefiting from the rapid development of China's scarf industry, scarves are mainly exported. But currently, the performance in overseas markets is poor. Since 2015, it has been in a sluggish state, and the quantity and amount of exports have been declining year by year. Data shows that in 2021, the export quantity of shawls, headscarves, scarves, veils, and other textile materials made in China decreased from 1334.653 million in 2015 to 82.231 million; The export amount decreased from $299.54 million in 2015 to $11496.53.
